About FutureTherma Labs

Building Evidence-Led Net Zero Assurance Infrastructure.

FutureTherma Labs is an emerging thermal performance assurance infrastructure company — engineering the evidence layer that helps buildings move from assumed Net Zero performance to measured, verified, corrected, and audit-ready outcomes.

Our Mission

Why FutureTherma Exists.

Net Zero is one of the most significant infrastructure challenges of our generation. Billions are being invested in low-carbon heating systems, retrofit programmes, and building decarbonisation across Scotland and the UK.

But investment alone does not guarantee outcomes. Systems can be installed to design specification and still underperform in real operation. Tenants can live in cold homes. Assets can fail to deliver designed efficiency. Compliance evidence can remain assumption-based rather than operationally verified.

FutureTherma was created to close that gap — to build the infrastructure layer that converts thermal system investment into verified, evidence-led operational outcomes. Not monitoring. Not consultancy. Not a building management system. A new category: thermal performance assurance infrastructure.

Core Mission
To deliver Evidence-Led Thermal Performance Assurance Infrastructure that helps buildings move from assumed Net Zero performance to measured, verified, corrected, and audit-ready outcomes.
Net Zero — Measured. Verified. Delivered. Evidenced.

Our Story

Scotland-Led. UK-Scalable.

FutureTherma Labs was founded in Greater Glasgow — rooted in Scotland's built-environment, innovation, and Net Zero ecosystem, and aligned with Scotland's ambition to lead on operational decarbonisation of housing and public estates.

Scotland's regulatory environment — with SHNZS, the Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund, and Awaab's Law obligations — creates one of the most demanding operational evidence requirements for housing providers anywhere in the UK. FutureTherma was built in this context, designed to meet these requirements, and built to scale across the wider UK market.

From Greater Glasgow, FutureTherma is building toward a UK-first position as the category-defining thermal performance assurance infrastructure company for the Net Zero built environment.

Origin
Built from Greater Glasgow
Founded and developed in Greater Glasgow — Scotland's largest built environment and innovation ecosystem — with direct alignment to Scotland's Net Zero housing and retrofit agenda.
Academic Engagement
University Collaboration
Active engagement with Scotland's university sector for independent validation, demonstrator collaboration, and applied research — strengthening the evidence base for FutureTherma's operational thesis.
Scale
UK-Scalable by Design
Designed from the ground up for deployment at scale across UK housing, public estates, and commercial built environments.

What We Stand For

Four Principles That Define How We Work.

01
Engineering-Led
FutureTherma's foundation is engineering rigour. Our architecture, sensing approach, edge logic, and evidence framework are built on deterministic engineering principles — not probabilistic estimation or AI-dependent inference.
02
Evidence-Led
Every output FutureTherma produces is structured as decision-grade evidence — designed to satisfy regulatory requirements, withstand audit scrutiny, and give operators meaningful intelligence to act on.
03
Outcome-Focused
We measure success by operational outcomes — comfort delivered, efficiency achieved, cost controlled, carbon evidenced, compliance satisfied. Not by systems installed or dashboards created.
04
Category-Creating
FutureTherma is not positioning into an existing market. We are creating a new category — thermal performance assurance infrastructure — and building the ecosystem, vocabulary, and standards that define it.

Long-Term Infrastructure Thesis

The Opportunity Ahead.

UK-First Category Leadership
FutureTherma is positioned to be the first and defining company in the thermal performance assurance infrastructure category — establishing the standards, vocabulary, and evidence frameworks that the sector will adopt.
Scotland Manufacturing Repatriation
Long-term ambition to manufacture TiPad Edge Controllers and Zonal Thermal Correctors in Scotland — repatriating hardware manufacturing and building sovereign climate-tech capability.
TPAE Ecosystem
Thermal Performance Assurance Engineering (TPAE) represents the emerging workforce capability needed to support operational Net Zero delivery at scale — a skills and certification ecosystem FutureTherma is helping to define.
Portfolio-Scale Deployment
From single-building demonstrators to portfolio-scale deployment across housing association and public estate programmes — FutureTherma is built to operate at the scale that matters for UK Net Zero delivery.
"The next challenge in Net Zero delivery is not installation alone. It is performance assurance — continuous, evidence-led, and audit-ready."

Ecosystem & Ambition

Built in Scotland. Designed for the UK.

Scotland provides FutureTherma with one of the strongest possible environments in which to build, validate, and scale a thermal performance assurance infrastructure company. Scotland's regulatory ambition, its housing Net Zero obligations, its university research ecosystem, and its innovation support infrastructure create the conditions for category creation.

From this foundation, FutureTherma is designed to scale — deploying thermal performance assurance infrastructure across housing associations, public estates, universities, and commercial buildings across the UK.

Academic Ecosystem EngagementUniversity collaboration for independent validation, demonstrator hosting, and applied research partnership.
Innovation Ecosystem AlignmentEngagement with Scotland's Net Zero and built-environment innovation infrastructure and support ecosystem.
Housing & Retrofit AlignmentDirect engagement with Scotland's social housing and retrofit programme landscape — SHNZS, SHDF, and housing association networks.
Manufacturing Repatriation AmbitionLong-term vision for Scotland-based manufacturing of TiPad and Zonal Thermal Corrector hardware.
TPAE Skills PathwaySupporting the development of Scotland's Thermal Performance Assurance Engineering workforce capability.
